Katie has such an eye for organizing and such a swift and no-fuss way of making it as easy as possible to let go of belongings that are cluttering up your life and space and create systems for things you love! Loved the work she did in our home and can't recommend her enough!

Katie came in for just a few hours and transformed our space. I felt so much better once the clutter was gone, everything was organized and all items had a home. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who feels overwhelmed with a room and doesn’t know where to start! She’s fantastic!!

Katie does very high level work. She helped my husband condense his hunting / fishing gear and purge items in his closet that he no longer wanted/needed. They worked quickly and efficiently and after a few hours our house seemed 1,000 pounds lighter. I was elated to have our hall closet back. Since then I have used her to organize my kids rooms and the pantry. What would take me days takes Katie just a few hours. I would recommend her to everyone!! Money well spent.

I love working with Katie at Room For Peace Organizing. One morning with her can totally overhaul and organize your most disorganized and junk filled space. She has helped me with my laundry room, kitchen, pantry, kids play room and children’s bedrooms. Usually one or two mornings a month to get each space organized. She is responsive to e-mails, on time and friendly. She also helps you let go of the junk you are holding on to that will never use and is just cluttering your space. I highly recommend her services!

Katie is super friendly and easy to work with. She is extremely motivated to get the job done and does an excellent job sorting and organizing through any project. She has cleared out multiple closets and rooms in my house and I have been so happy with the overall experience. I am planning on hiring her again soon for an upcoming move that will require a lot of organization.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Each project is able to be customized. My goal is to meet you where you are, and assist you in any way possible to a more organized life. If at first glance I seem out of your price range, let's talk about ways and situations in which I am happy to give a discount.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My Process: Step 1: Visualization At the core of getting organized is the DESIRE to feel at peace in your home. The desire to move more effortlessly through your possessions, so you are able to focus on larger goals and values. THESE are the reasons that will be compelling enough to create the change. How will you feel after decluttering and organizing? Let the desire for these feelings guide you. Step 2: Make The Commitment It is in our decisions, or yet our INABILITY to make a decision that gets us deep into clutter and disorganization. Make the DECISION and commitment to yourself that you are ready to become organized. Step 3: Set Schedule and Stick To It We will schedule our first session after the initial consultation, and it is imperative to stick to it. If organization and maintaining order has been a struggle for you, it is easy to find reasons to avoid the uncomfortable hard work. It only takes a few hours, over a few days to completely transform your life. Face the clutter now, temporarily, or let it continue to disrupt your happiness and peace over the long term. Step 4: The 5S Methodology of Organization 1. Sort- REMOVAL of unnecessary items 2. Shine/Sweep- Cleaning of area to more easily identify what’s out of place 3. Straighten- Organize to OPTIMIZE efficiency and flow 4. Standardize- Implement labels, designated areas, and systems to create consistency 5. Sustain- Develop behaviors that maintain organization over the long term Step 5: Experience the Peace Take in your newly organized space, and say goodbye to old feelings of FEAR and LACK. Your home is now full of only things that you LOVE and that are useful. Nothing more, nothing less. Feel the ABUNDANCE in the simplicity. Step 6: Check In Every week, check in with yourself and how you feel in your home. Your energy levels and physiology will let you know when it's time to regroup, and reinstate the new behaviors you have to maintain a peaceful home.
