Introduction: Hello! I'm a full-time professional photographer with 5+ years of experience. I've shot in locations around the country and have a passion for photo journalist photography. April and James are spectacular. We can't praise them enough - superior quality photos, fantastic attitudes, seamless teamwork, and a true joy to be around! It's clear they put their heart and soul into their work. Our wedding was taken outdoors, with many different lighting situations - twilight, clouds, very low light outdoors, high ceilings, shiny things, lasers - despite it all, they prevailed. Our photos are gorgeous, they truly captured every part and every emotion of the day perfectly. Bravo and endless gratitude to you both for taking us on and making these memories with us!!!

We hired Simply Violet Photography to do our engagement session and photograph our entire wedding day. Doing so was absolutely, without a doubt, the single best wedding-related decision that we made. April and James were wonderful from the very beginning, and they captured my husband and I looking happy and in love and completely like ourselves (never stiff or overly posed). I love April and James of Simply Violet Photography for who they are and what they managed to capture. It truly is a piece of art. I feel like I'm reliving the day and night all over again, through my own lens. THAT'S how perfectly beautiful the pictures are. They snapped the feelings behind each moment. How they did it, I don't know. But the photographs are better than I could've even imagined. We had a surprise wedding, and thought it could be a vendor’s nightmare, but instead, this team embraced it and made it PERFECT. If you are looking for a truly genuine experience, this is your team. I’m horrible at posed photographs and didn’t want a single detail, even pictures, to feel fake or forced. I was not at all disappointed.
