To start, I would just like to inform you that I never write reviews but, this one was a must!
My husband and I had just purchased a new home 6 months ago. Come winter time, our heating system broke and I called a local HVAC service (85$) who didn't bother to fix the unit but, instead tried to sell us a new one. I never called them back due to them trying to swindle me into thousands of dollars and not even bothering to diagnose the issue. I turned around and called our home buyers warranty service to send another service out. They came to our home and told me to take out all my in-floor vent filters to release the pressure build up and that should fix the problem (75$ Service fee) . Days later, with cold air still blowing out from the vents, I called our home buyers insurance again and had them send the same guy back. Again he came out and attempted to fix the problem and twiddled around with the unit (let out what he claimed to be excess frion causing the problem). Three days later and aggravated with my unresolved cold air blowing heater I called our home buyers again. This time I asked for them to send a different repair service to come out. Mark Pontillo, owner and operator of Ponillo Home Service, called me a hour later and set up an appointment for the very next morning. The next day Mr. Pontillo thoroughly investigated our system (inside and out for hours) and afterwards took me step by step in explaining all the issues he came across. He went behind the other service men who left loose wiring and tightened everything back up. He explained what needed to be done and with my approval he ordered the faulty TX valve that he came across which was the source of our problem. It took a while for the part to ship and he kept me updated via phone calls on the order reassuring me he had not forgotten about me. When the part arrived Mr. Pontillo was here the very next morning to replace it. After the replacement, he had me check to make sure everything was working up to my satisfaction and even stayed longer to make sure the system wouldn't fail. While waiting, he took the time to wash our heater of all the grim and corroded material inside that had built up over the years. Then he took me out to show me all the debris that had washed away and show me the insides of our corroded outdoor units and how bad they were rotting from the salty air. Clearly, and with my own eyes, I could tell the 2 units had not been serviced since they were installed. I had been ignorant to the fact of servicing units every year myself. Mark went through all the details of what his yearly service consisted of and gave me a VERY reasonable estimate. I was happy to purchase his yearly service and he took the time out to clean the other upstairs unit as well. Since that day Mr. Pontillo has come back to check on my heating system and has called to make sure it was working properly. The home buyers insurance covered all the cost and we didn't have to pay a dime for it. I later learned he specialized in other areas of home services as well, like bath and kitchen remodeling as well as any handyman work. Since then, I have had Mark come back on several occasions to fix broken land scape lighting, faulty shower doors, electrical issues, broken grout, etc. If it's broken.. Let's just say HE can FIX it! I have never been so happy to have found someone so dependable, trustworthy and for the best reasonable prices. If you ever find your self with a broken HVAC system he is the man to call!!! You will NOT be swindled and will get the best quality of service that is out there. In the future, I will be using Mr. Mark Pontillo for all of our home repairs.
