I have a passion for helping students of all ages overcome Math struggles to thrive in their Math courses! I believe every student can not only succeed in Math but learn to enjoy it! Right now I'm focusing on online tutoring, and I've seen many people learn and be successful through our online tutoring sessions. I have Masters of Arts in Teaching for Secondary School Mathematics from the Citadel Military College of South Carolina. I also have a B.S in Nuclear Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Missouri University Science and Technology. I am a Navy veteran who served for 6 years as a Math and Physics instructor in the Navy Nuclear Power School. My experience as an instructor equipped me with practical knowledge about effective teaching and learning techniques. In my role as an instructor, I not only taught classrooms of students but also spent time every day individually tutoring and assisting students who were going through the extremely challenging Nuclear Power school. Upon being honorably discharged from the Navy, I earned my Masters Degree from the Citadel and began a career as Math Teacher. I am currently in my third year as a high school math teacher, and I also have a passion for individual tutoring. I began math tutoring many years ago as an undergraduate student, and continued to do so while I was in the Navy, regularly serving as a tutor for college, high school, middle school, and elementary school students in my community. I have been doing online math tutoring through this platform for the last 3 years, serving a variety of students from adults in grad school math classes to elementary students.
