Introduction: I have previous experience teaching physics, algebra, and pre calculus at a Christian school. I was doing it because I love to see kids learn and finally understand mathematics. I was a small business owner for fourteen years, worked as an engineer in support of the military for sixteen years, and taught other engineers for several years. I like seeing that light of understanding come on when the student finally shows understanding.

Bob is awesome! He tutored my 17 year old son beginning late in the school year with Algebra 2. Before this, my son had very low test scores and had pretty much given up on the class. We found Bob on Thumbtack and hoped it would help, even though my son was less than enthusiastic. Right from the beginning, Bob had a very good "read" on my son; his personality is more about football, fishing and hunting than academics. Bob picked up on that and right away, my son felt at ease and open and enjoyed talking not only about algebra but also the things that he loves. With the tutoring, we had some low points, my son somewhat refusing to meet, not getting his paperwork ready so that they could review, and all the other excuses that kids who dislike school use to get out of doing the dreaded work. But through all of this, Bob stuck with us. The best thing about this is that after 12 years of sitting through award ceremonies at school, my son had all but tuned out and pretty much knew he would never receive any academic recognition (the only award he received in the last 12 years was one for athleticism in 2nd grade). When his algebra teacher came up to give her academic award, he was playing a game on his phone and not listening. Apparently, she described a young man in her class as the "comeback kid" and was awarding the certificate to him, for his amazing improvement! I wish that I could tell you more of what she said, but he wasn't listening. He thought, when he heard his name called, that he was in trouble! So, to summarize, Bob is amazing in his approach to young male learners (and most likely, everybody else, too) who don't want to learn LOL. We are very glad to have found him!

Bob is tutoring my 9th grade daughter in Algebra 1. Since she began working with Bob, her grade has improved dramatically. My daughter now understands and applies math principles mu have better than before. Moreover, she says that Bob provides step by step instructions and helps her to understand why the principles exist.

He is simply I was a little skeptic as far as online tutoring especially when it's across state lines but once we got started Mr Robeson really did an outstanding job his concept to the problems and relating it to my son was very basic and gave a new breath of life in the way my son was viewing math as a whole.viewing the equation I was able to understand it and I haven't been to school in 35 years I recommend him

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have found that math is math; even with new methods, algebra doesn't change and 2 + 2 still equals 4. I still receive several engineering magizines especially in the area of electromagnetic compatibility, my area. I also have the latest algebra texts as a reference.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Even though I spent many years as an engineer, I always had a longing to teach kids. I have four kids of my own, and seeing that light of understanding come on is always an enjoyable moment for me.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All of my teaching now is on line using Microsoft power point. I love to take a student from algebra 1 through pre calculus and trigonometry. I don't really need to teach pre algebra since algebra 1 touches pre algebra. With one on one instruction, we can usually cover algebra 1 in three months or less. The same with algebra 2 and pre calculus. With really fast learners we can do it in less time.
