I got a quote on Thumbtack for $699 for a 3 bedroom house for bedbug treatment, assuming that was for chemical treatment but didn’t specify. I texted with and said they do heat treatment as well, which was desired. When the guy came out to inspect and give me a quote, the price went up to $2053 for heat treatment and $1600 for chemical treatment. Way more than other company.

Hi Jerry, thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, bed bugs are one of those things that can't possibly be priced accurately until we put eyes on the property. There are many factors when quoting a bed bug service such as infestation level, size and layout of the home/rooms, number of furniture pieces in said rooms, etc. We offer a starting point of $699 because that is the minimum for a bare bones bed bug job with a low infestation level but the price can increase quickly based on the aforementioned factors. As far as the other company as a comparison, I can tell you that while they may be perfectly capable, cheaper is not always better when it comes to pest control. If they are significantly cheaper then there is usually a reason for it which typically does not come to light until later on down the road. There are probably exceptions to that rule though if they are a very small company with minimum overhead or are very motivated to get some revenue coming in though. I hope they do a great job for you!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the size of the Home/ Area we will be treating as well as what pests you are experiencing. We can determine price once we know the how big the area will be treating is and then what pests we need to take care of.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with new customers our priority is taking the time to understand the concerns. Once we understand the concerns and what the pest activity is, we can then provide an accurate assessment of what needs to happen to most effectively and efficiently control the pests and provide a superior service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have a combined 100+ years of pest control experience among our management, and far beyond that within the company in it's entirety. We have seen it all, heard it all, and treated it all many times over :)
