I have mixed feelings about this move, but I want to give credit to the crew for working hard through extreme, exhausting heat. It was a very hot day, to the point where one mover unfortunately got sick from the heat, and they had to split the job into two days—moving everything into our garage on day one, and coming back the next day to finish moving it into the house as promised. I appreciate their persistence and that they stuck to our negotiated flat rate.However, the organization and planning side had notable issues. They went to the wrong address on prep day and didn't have the tools to disassemble our desk, so we had to do it ourselves. More importantly, the truck wasn't packed efficiently. A lot of space was wasted in the U-Haul, meaning several items were left behind. We ultimately had to rent our own truck and move those final items ourselves, which was a big inconvenience. There was also minor cosmetic damage to our washer and desk.They are hard workers, but the company needs better training on truck loading and preparation to avoid turning a one-day move into a multi-day process.
