Jude did a fantastic job, because he was very thorough and took his time to ensure that the job was completely done without a hitch. From start to finish, Jude is the person you want to hire. He effectively communicated with us, assisted with purchasing our new toilet and when he installed it, he gave us instructions on what to look for if we encounter any problems. He also guaranteed to return, if we see those problematic signs. He's professional, intelligent and has a wonderful personality, which made this project smooth, educational and non stressful. Yes, educational, because before purchasing a toilet we had no idea what to purchase. Now we know what to look for in the future. We will definitely hire Jude again!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I always give special discounts for military , senior , and emergency responders. Also ask about my first time customer discount!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have grown up in the plumbing van, my first job plumbing was re-piping condos with my father who has been a master plumber in Myrtle beach for 20+ years. I then studied biology at Coastal Carolina University. After college I trained under several master plumbers in the area for three years in various plumbing categories. This includes New construction plumbing, service and repair, drain cleaning, and an expert in tankless and standard water heaters.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently helped an elderly woman Sylvia in the Conway area. She had a backed up kitchen sink drain, which she says was caused by pizza bones (crust), going down the disposal. She had been through 3 different plumbers, one of which was a large drain cleaning company! After 3 service charges and an unresolved kitchen sink clog, Sylvia was left with what she thought was no other option but to pay for a jetting service which can be very costly. Luckily Sylvia was referred by a friend to call me first before making any decisions. When I arrived I tried to use my sewer snake to clear the drain just like everyone else, and just like everyone else it did not resolve the problem. But unlike the other plumbers I then decided to go under the crawl space and see what’s going on by opening some clean outs underneath. Well to my surprise her kitchen drain pipe was 1 1/2” ran over 30ft and had completely fell off the supports making a big U shape. Now we all know stuff can’t flow up hill. After explaining this to the customer and showing her pictures she was so happy to finally know what was going on. She told me she couldn’t sleep the past 5 nights the problem went unresolved and that her husband who had just previously passed would take care of things like this but now she didn’t know what to do. After two long nights of fixing her support system and flushing the debris that had collected in the belly of the pipe, I was pleased to have finally resolved the problem and Sylvia was able to use her kitchen sink again that night. We discussed ways to prevent this from happening again (no more pizza bones down the drain!!) and options for in the future when the budget allows it, properly strapping the drain pipe and getting rid of the old supports and possibly upgrading the drain to a 2” line. I’m proud to say that Sylvia never has to worry about someone to call for any of her plumbing needs again. Even though I took a small loss on my labor , it was one of my best achievements in customer service and left me very proud of my work and my new customer Sylvia.
