- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I spent a lot of time growing up on our family’s 1000 acre farm in KY. From an early age I was learning about hard work and making plants grow and be healthy. From there I used that knowledge to begin working for family friends and acquaintances before I finished high school. During college I owned and operated a small contracting business where I learned many lessons and also learned more about my trade. I also continued to practice communication with customers and give them advice about their wants and needs pertaining to their landscapes and overall appearances of their private and commercial properties. I have continued this learning process while still trying to learn everyday how to make people happy. I currently use my knowledge full time to help manage a few crews for quickly-growing, well established landscape contractor located all over the state of NC. In my extra time I enjoy getting out and meeting new people and providing my services to their landscaping and property enhancement needs.
