- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure to use a notary that is knowledgeable and familiar with state notary laws as well as best practice guidelines. It is not uncommon for customers to call me to fix an error from another notary. Some notaries will simply sign and affix a stamp to a document without notarial wording indicating what type of notarization is being performed. I am certified and background screened by the National Notary Association and take annual notary courses offered by the SC. I am also active in several notary forums to keep up with the latest laws and regulations as well as to see suggestions about how to handle difficult or unusual situations.
