FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price every job fairly and use the best materials for the project. If the work goes quicker or easier than thought during the estimate, I have been known to give a discount at the end. If the work takes longer or is harder than thought during the estimate, I ask the customer to pay me what they believe is fair and I accept it gladly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk over the phone for the initial contact and schedule a time to come look at the job. If it is a small job, I can fix it on the spot, if it is a larger job, I try to schedule a time to have the work finished as soon as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked within the world of general construction since I was a child. I grew up rewiring lamps, fixing kitchen sinks, framing walls in houses, and laying floors. For over 3 years before I started my own business, I worked for one of the largest flooring sales companies in the USA. I managed the owners of 6 flooring installation and repair companies, taught "DIYers" how to install and repair flooring, and found my knack for being able to relate to both the frustration and excitedness of a homeowner before and after their project is finished. I have now successfully ran my own flooring business for over 6 years.
