We worked with Jeff to design our forever house in Dade County, Georgia and it turned out great. Their knowledge of all aspects of the design and the building requirements for my area in Georgia is exactly what I needed to get this project started. Since we live several hours away, we handled everything remotely (Zoom, etc.) with no problems. The 3D walkthrough option was great to be able to see what it really looks like and make adjustments that you don't want to find after you start building. I highly recommend Goodman Creations and would use them again without hesitation.Tim

From the first phone call, to the final picking up of our completed blue prints it has been a complete joy to work with Jeff Goodman and Julia Beck as they designed and created the home we wanted on paper. They were always quick to respond, and attentive to the details we wanted. They 'heard you' which is a rare quality these days. When we asked for suggestions they were helpful in suppling answers. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our standard pricing for our services is $1.20/sq ft. full service & $.90/sq ft. basic service. Included in our price is meetings, field work, modifications, construction documents, materials list, ect.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1: Initial Consultation
- Describe us your project scope, visions, goals and target budget
- Our team will create a price estimate based on our firm's Standardized Pricing, and a time schedule to outline the project's anticipated milestones, deliverables and payment phases.
- If you choose to proceed, our team will send a complete agreement documenting detailed scopes of each deliverable and associated payments and phases.
- Once the agreement is signed, the project begins, and you will be assigned a fist phase designer who is your main point of contact throughout the first phase of the project.
Step 2: Project Begins
- The first step in creating a building is in understanding the land on which it will be developed.
Step 3: Design Begins
- Once our team has developed a clear understanding of the existing space to be developed, our in-house 2D CAD drafters and 3D Visual Artists collaborate to create an initial iteration of the proposed design.
- The initial design will be sent to you in both formats to review and understand the proposed space in detail.
Step 4: Mid-Design
- On the more complex projects, the design will follow a series of iterations and additional Design Meetings until the proposed design's Basic Structure (Walls, Windows, Doors and Roof Layout) is finalized.
Step 5: Customized Design Phase
- Once the Basic Structure is finalized, some projects may undertake extensive interior or exterior design detailing. This may include, material selections, appliances, furnishings, textiles among an array of additional items.
Step 6: Once your design is complete then we create your construction blueprints.
Step 7: You are ready to build!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every designer at Goodman Creations has at least an Associate's degree in Architectural Drafting and Design. Owner/Architectural has degrees in Architectural Design/Business Management/Engineering Technology. We have over 10 years experience here at Goodman Creations with the last 4 years with in Goodman Creations and have helped many clients design their dream home during that time.
