FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My goal is to be very reasonable with pricing. I don't want anyone feeling that they are being taken advantage of and I want to ensure that I am getting my worth. I also do everything I can to fit within a clients budget. For example, I had a bride who had a very small budget for photos and the budget would have ended up costing me. So, I suggested I could photograph certain parts of the wedding (ceremony, post- ceremony photos) and have family bring their own personal cameras and cover the rest. The client agreed and it ended up being perfect. Everyone was happy.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know them and their ambitions for wanting photos. I have questions that give me a better look at them and who they are. As a photographer, Im helping to tell their story and who they are at this time in their life. So, it's important I know them a bit. I give them tips on what to wear, locations to shoot, and make them feel comfortable and excited. Im not big on posing, I like my clients to look natural and somewhat candid in their photos. So during shoots my biggest task in breaking down that wall and making a client comfortable and high spirited. Im a big goof on shoots for this very reason.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have some college course work in design and photography, I have worked professionally for years in photography settings so that helps when having to deal with my camera. But the most important skill I have is people skills. I just love people and their histories. Ive worked in hospitality for years and I take pride in how good I am with people.
