- What types of customers have you worked with?
I provide individual and small-group ACT Prep, as well as tutoring for elementary school math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I. I can follow whatever curriculum is being used by the client's school, otherwise I will follow our federal Common-Core curriculum (most states are already aligned to Common Core). I also offer study skills and organizational skills workshops for classrooms and after-school programs.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Tutoring is most effective over time. Build a relationship with your tutor and keep track of your progress so that you know if your tutor is effective. Always look for tutors who offer assistance with keeping track of student progress. This lets you know that your tutor is confident in their abilities to help your child improve. This also lets you know that your tutor is concerned about building a positive relationship and understand the long-term learning patterns of your student.
