I had been thinking of privacy fencing my property and finally decided to take the plunge so I started investigating and was going to do it myself until I hauled a couple of loads of wood to my house and realized I was not in physical shape to do this large project so of course I wanted to find the cheapest labor I could. I knew about licensed contractors but that price tag coming with that title scared me so I searched for the most economical in my mind and headed to craigslist, hired a kid and he showed up when he wanted. His work was terrible and I fired him. Don't do it. Take my advice and hire a LICENSED CONTRACTOR. You get what you pay for. Jason, the owner of Top Shot, came along and looked at where the fence was and transformed it into a highly professional privacy fence. Jason showed up when he said he would and he worked. Jason is very honest and trustworthy and PROFESSIONAL. We are already in discussions of him doing another large project for me. I have no reservations about him or his work. I give him my highest recommendation. Thank you Jason for all your hard excellent work and thank you Thumbtack for helping me to find him.

Built a fence around our barn. They were the lowest bidder among several Thumbtack responses we had. Cost was good and once the work was started they stayed with it till done. Weather held things up at first and the day they were going to start after the weather after waiting a couple hours I had to call and see why nobody was there. I was told they weren't coming because of an emergency. Which is fine but they should have called me. The next day they were late. Again no call so I called them. Finally did get it done after two days. Very good work and the price was good

Jason does PHENOMENAL work. I had him to create a stand for our chandelier cake for our wedding. The artistry he used to create the stand is unique and my bride to be ABSOLUTELY loved it.
I will definitely use him in the future to create other items for me and would recommend him to ANYONE looking for blacksmith work.

DO NOT HIRE HIM! You will definitely regret it. We are taking Jason to small claims court over a deposit that he is refusing to return.
I met with Jason and liked him well enough while we were going through the estimate process. Seemed like a stand-up guy that would do good work. He has several good reviews, but they do mention his lateness and some rescheduling issues. I didn't pay attention to that part of the other reviews as much as I should have.
I hired Jason to put up a privacy fence. I was told he would be here to start on a certain day, but the morning he said he would be here, I got a message saying he would be delaying a couple of days. A couple of days go by and I hear nothing, so I try to call, text, etc. and finally hear back after I left a concerned voicemail. He would be here the next day. Then the next day he had to delay again. I then had to go out of town over the weekend, so we agreed he would be here Tuesday morning. That morning, he again came up with a reason he couldn't be here and said it would be that afternoon instead. Then, that afternoon he tells me it would again be the next day.
At this point, I decided I just didn't want to deal with this anymore. I told Jason I wanted my deposit back (which he requires as 50% of the total cost) and I wanted to hire someone else who might show up. Jason laughed at me and told me that there would be "no remote possibility" to get my deposit back. After a phone conversation where I tell him that I would sue him over breach of contract if he does not refund my deposit, he finally tells me that he would return my deposit the next day. Of course, two days later, I've heard nothing further from him.
So, unfortunately, I am going to be taking Jason to small claims court and filing a suit against him to get my deposit money back. Not quite what I thought I had signed up for. You've been warned....do NOT use this guy. He is NOT on the up and up, and is definitely not a professional.
