- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, my current rate for tutoring starts at $50 hourly. This rate includes custom lesson plans for your child, I provide all learning materials and I also offer the convenience of driving to your home to meet with your child in an environment they are both familiar and comfortable with, which also affords parents the time to run small errands, complete household chores and tend to their other children while the student receives one-on-one attention from me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally, when a customer is interested in working with me, we will discuss their child's area of need, my rates, current scheduling openings, and review my tutoring policies.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a B.A. in English from the University of Louisville. I also am a certified teacher in the state of Texas. I hold a Generalist license (grades PK-6) and also an English/Language Arts/Reading license for grades 4-8. I have over seven years of combined experience as a private tutor and classroom teacher. My areas of specialization as a private tutor are math/phonics/reading for K-3 and English, reading comprehension and writing for grades 4-12.
