Ray was nothing short of AWESOME! From the day we hired him as our photographer to now, he was been very easy to contact. I don't think I ever waited longer than a couple hours for a response. A few hours before our engagement shoot, I decided to add a location, and Ray was accommodating (and even told us about a great lake to shoot at-- great photos!). Some photographers would have said "sorry", but Ray was excited with the new idea. Fast forward to the wedding day.... it rained!!! (A bride's worst nightmare) However, Ray and the second photographer, Laurie, made the BEST of the space, and the photos turned out stunning! When there was a break in the rain, they took the opportunity to go outside with us. We even have some great photos with a simple black umbrella. I literally have hundreds (a couple thousand, really) photos from the entire day... All the special moments were captured. We even had access to our entire photo collection about a week and a half after the wedding date. I recommend Ray to shoot other weddings! (I wanted add some photos straight from the wedding photo gallery, but I cannot figure out how to make them smaller than 10MB!)
John was a great choice of photographers from thumbtack! He was timely, prepared, creative and a delight to work with! He did my head shots and linked in pictures for me. He was terrific and I can't recommend him enough! Thank you John!
Laurinda is great! She has taken many of our family photos, birthday portraits and our newborn photos. She's always so patient with my crazy kids and good at getting them to cooperate. She's always on time, very responsive to messages and comes with a bag of candy to encourage the kids!
He was an excellent photographer to work with. The quality of his work exceeded my every expectations. I will definitely use his service again and strongly recommend him to others.
Michael was my photographer for my wedding and he went above and beyond. The morning of my wedding a storm come through and destroyed everything. I was lost!! Michael jumped in and started doing decorating plus pictures even pulling out his back drops he had with him to save the day. Absolutely my favorite photographer and wedding day savior!!!!
I have worked with Kidtee Hello on multiple photo shoots. She is beyond kind. She really takes you in to consideration the entire shoot. She is one of the best photographers I have worked with.
I truly enjoyed my 30th Birthday Smashcake Photoshoot with Moultry Photography. It was fun. She was very helpful with going out her way to get balloons and many other accessories for the shoot. She also was very thoughtful during the shoot. I would definitely recommend her.
Rob Lindsay is an extraordinary photographer. I hired him recently to take a head shot I needed for business. Because of his long experience in the film industry, Rob thoroughly understands the technical aspects of a good shot, from composition, interesting lighting, to creative depth of field choices. But what really sets him apart from most photographers is his directorial excellence. He is able to make a subject relax and reveal their inner self. This is actually a very difficult task but seemingly effortless for Rob. If you want the best photographer in Nashville, he's the man to call.
Every fifth wedding anniversary my husband and I celebrate by having portraits made of ourselves and whatever dogs are in our lives at that time. In December, for our twenty-fifth anniversary, we asked Tina to do this for us in our home. Although she told us she doesn't do much pet photography, she worked well with our two less than cooperative bassets and got some good photos of them alone and with us. (In retrospect I think it would have worked better if we'd saved the dogs' photos until the very end, after they'd had a chance to calm down and adjust to the unusual activity going on around them.) Even though it was evening, the lighting Tina set up made the photos look as if they'd been taken in daylight, which I thought was a pretty neat bit of photographic magic. She also saw ways that hadn't occurred to us to use the furniture and space in our home for the photos. We were especially pleased when she thought to pose us in front of the wall on which all our previous anniversary photos were hanging. We wound up with a good mix of nicely touched-up formal poses and candid shots saved on a CD as files suitable for printing out and files better for posting online. At the time she was taking the candids, I wasn't terribly confident the poses she was encouraging would result in photos I'd like, but they turned out quite well. If you choose Tina to do your photography, you'll get a professional who arrives on time with everything she needs, is flexible and happy to go with the style you want (e.g., edgy, formal, etc.), and won't make you wait forever for the finished photos.
Ashlyn is an amazing photographer. Not only were her photos exactly what I was looking for, she was super helpful and seemed to be everywhere the day of the wedding. For example, after we were done with family photos, we went around to visit with friends and family. Whenever someone jumped in for a random group shot, Ashlyn and her assistant magically appeared to get us a professional shot as well! Couldn't be happier!
Sandy was so professional, friendly, efficient and enthusiastic! I would definitely recommend him. We had him shoot 2 hrs worth of a friends 40th birthday party. I will be using him again!!
Tony was an excellent photographer for our tradeshow and hospitality event! He captured all of the pictures we asked for and turned the pictures around very quickly!
We did a studio photography shoot in celebration of our 20th wedding anniversary. We are very pleased. Mayur is extremely professional and timely. He communicates well in order to provide an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend PitaPics Photography to others.
LOVE Sky... she's amazing! Not only is she super fun, but she's a tremendous story-teller. Friends and family who have watched our wedding video from her are captivated. I couldn't imagine having anyone else be our wedding photographer & videographer.
Tess took awesome photos that not only showed an artistic eye but highlighted the strengths of several athletes at Trivium and somehow also displayed the community feel of the gym through several candids of family members who were present. Not only were the photos great, but they were edited and posted faster than I've traditionally seen other professional photographers complete their work.
Allison covered my photography needs when another photographer canceled on me-- with QUICK turnaround and amazing responsiveness!!! Highly recommended.
Wedding photography. She is the best, period.
I am a wedding planner, so you can probably imagine when I started to plan my own wedding, how much time I spent looking for a photographer and how incredibly picky I was. I like to think that I was in a lucky position compared to most brides because I have the experience to know what to look for and what questions to ask. I can't even begin to tell you how on top of things Jessica was. I could speak for hours on how talented she is and how insanely beautiful her work is, but that speaks for itself the second you look at her site. You don't need me to tell you. What impressed me most is her professionalism and how far out of her way she goes to "get the shot." Once you've experienced her how hard she works, and how much thought she puts in weeks and months before the wedding, it becomes really obvious why all her work is so beautiful and looks so effortless. In our initial meeting, she walked us through exactly what her process is on a wedding day. How she shoots, what she looks for, how she tries to envision your album while she's taking detail shots to make sure they have a consistent flow and color scheme, and that the lighting and mood tell a story. How she researches your color palette and pinterest boards before the wedding so she knows exactly what type of flowers and decor to expect to work into the images. She explained timelines and when the best time to shoot our first look and portraits was. She was so informed and helpful in ways that went beyond just the photography. We knew instantaneously she was IT for us. Before the wedding she sent us a very detailed questionnaire to fill out that asked about our decor inspiration, our timeline, who we wanted included in our formal photos, and basically anything you could possibly think of about the wedding. A few days before she called me and discussed all of it with me and mentioned she was going to do a walk-through of my venue to make sure she knew exactly what to expect. She also sent me a very detailed list of all the types of "detail" shots she takes and how we could pre-organize these items so they would be available for her to photograph as soon as she arrived. She reached out to my florist to ask for a few extra pieces of our florals and ribbons to incorporate into shoe shots, invitation shots, etc. As a planner, in my professional life I do a lot of styled shoots with photographers (photoshoots we do with other vendors for ourselves, not clients, to expand our portfolios)... and I realized that she treats every wedding like a styled shoot, with the same care and attention to detail. She even showed up with her own extra props to use that matched the colors of our wedding - serving trays, little cute ring dishes, jewelry boxes, golden hangers, ribbons, tiny decorative scissors!! She kept joking that she is a very "OCD perfectionist" but what it really is, is passion and a committed attention to detail and making sure every wedding looks beautiful - elevating even the weddings that maybe did not have as much budget for decor and all those extra little Pinterest details we all love so much. I have worked with a lot of photographers through my work, and I have NEVER worked with one that put so much forethought into preparing for a wedding as she does. Most show up and shoot what is there. My wedding was beautiful, and I put a lot of hard work into it, but it would not have been nearly as beautiful in photographs as she made it, without all the little extra touches she thought of that no one else does. As a fellow vendor, these are the things that impressed me most about her and I feel important to share with other brides. I also know that most of the photographers I have worked with in the past will give the couple's 300-500 pictures. Jessica gave me over 1,300 edited images. Every one of them beautiful. I have seen many talented photographers (though I'm biased that she is the MOST talented) but none that work as hard or deliver as far beyond expectation as her. After my wedding, my old referral list basically went out the door. I do not recommend anyone but Jessica to my clients now. Of the dozens of photographers I have worked with, she is above and beyond the very best. If you hire her, you're making the very best vendor decision you will make for your entire wedding. If you don't hire her, what a loss for you! Your cake and food will be over that night. Your photos and memories will last forever. If I could give one piece of advice as a planner, save on the things that don't last, splurge on the things that do. Good luck, brides!
Beautiful photography! RoKim has an eye for detail and his photographs are so crisp and real that you feel like you are in the space of nature of the photo.
I hired Emilee to photograph my children. She was patient and delivered a exceptional product. I would not hesitate to hire Emilee for future assignments.
Chris and Taylor were amazing! I couldn't have found a better photographer for my surprise proposal. They were great to coordinate with in the planning process and all of our pictures turned out great, not to mention the fact that we received edited photos back within hours of taking them. Very professional, personable, talented, and they even helped handle our two husky mix dogs who can be a handful. I would highly recommend Photos by Chris McCarthy to anyone.
