- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Basic Handyman Services: $75 first hour, $40 per additional hour (rounded up to half hour) Larger Projects: $75 Consultation and estimate, waived if we take on the project (payment due 2 days after delivery of estimate)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial communication is through Thumbtack app. I like to schedule a phone call to discuss the project in more detail in order to have a better understanding of expectations, tools needed and answer any questions a customer may have. Typically if the job is straightforward and a 1 day project I can iron out details over the phone and schedule my visit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have received all my training on the worksite. My first jobs as a young adult were in the construction industry. I began as a general laborer and carpenter under contractors for years. I became more specialized over the last 5 years assisting skilled tradesman on specialized home renovations where finish work (tile, custom builds) was a main focus and all work was done by a small crew. Most recently I have continued to hone my skills running my own projects while passing on knowledge to assistants of my own. Some of my most recent projects have been in collaboration with interior designers.
