Introduction: First of all my reviews from my past projects can answer that. I am more of a custom oriented type carpenter, in that I do lots of work that is not generally in the skill set of the average carpenter. From helping to design and select everything from cabinets to tile and paint colors if needed, to making sure it is installed or built to last. Also, being an artist myself, (Music, painting, sculpture.) I have more of an artistic eye for finer detail, where others might overlook. Challenges... unusual projects, ingenuity and working on more artistic projects.

I hired Ryan for a project spanning several weeks. He did an excellent job at understanding the overall desired plan and he went above and beyond to give me a product that was not only great but in fact better than what I had originally envisioned. I first hired Ryan to construct a wall in my basement and he quickly proved his skill with the quality of his work. I next asked him to complete the trim in my basement with some difficult window trim issues and he proved again his ability to accomplish challenging problems. Perhaps the next project I gave Ryan, designing a staircase in my basement, was the most impressive because he was able to provide so many ideas and discussed options with me and my wife. He not only has the skill to build, he also has a great eye for design and is able to communicate them effectively. The final project was to install a bathroom in the basement, which included a full shower tile design. Again, Ryan knocked it out the park - I couldn't be any happier with Ryan's work and almost wish I had more projects to keep him around. I have grown up in the renovation business and have worked with contractors to renovate over 60 apartments in the last 5 years. I can honestly say that Ryan is one of the best around and anyone that chooses him to do a project will be extremely happy with their choice.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually just figure out how long it might take me, estimate the materials and add them up, and send it over to you. Pretty simple.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved building stuff as a kid, and as I got older I didnt like that I couldnt afford the furniture that I wanted, so I learned how to create what I liked and it went from there!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Kitchen cabinet installs, various moldings, crown and base etc. I have done a lot of custom furniture lately.
