Chef Dan has been a part of the Whole Foods Salud! Cooking School for 12 years. He is a wonderful teacher, he can take the most complex skill and break it down for any and all to duplicate. He is professional, kind and a great chef. His food is fantastic. I totally recommend without reservation.

I was privileged to work as a volunteer with Dan at 'Saluds' in the Nashville Whole Foods store - a store that hires different Chefs to teach/demo cooking classes. Working with Dan is the most rewarding of the multiple people I have worked with. With a relaxed but professional atmosphere, the experience was quite pleasurable...and hopping. Teaching a full menu, Dan cooks multiple items at once - working with both the students and we volunteers. If a mistake (from a student) was made, Dan has no problem doing something over to produce a quality dish, even using the mistake as a teaching point - perhaps using himself as 'the fall guy' from his earlier days...when he himself was learning. End result? Excellent meal with that home-made touch. And, Dan makes it a 'shared touch', with Dan giving credit where credit is due. He recognizes that others taking his classes have cooked/baked before and he enjoys cooking 'with' everyone else. Both volunteers and students come away from the experience having learned something, enjoying a rich and tasty meal, and felt relaxed about the whole thing. And accomplished. The students who had eaten at Dan's restaurant make it known to the other students that it was worth going to - to enjoy a quality meal. Having eaten at his restaurant, that same friendly style and advice continue to be displayed to any customer who inquires about something he has made.

I have found Danny Maggipinto to be a person of integrity, with standards of excellence in whatever he does. He is hard working, conscientious, and faithful . . .qualities that are increasingly rare in our culture. He would be an asset to the person or business employing him.
