Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Know the difference between a typical "break/fix" computer repair shop and an MSP, or Managed Service Provider. The break/fix business profits only when something breaks, especially with high overhead on any hardware upgrades you might need. An MSP business is based on the idea of preventing small problems before they become big, expensive problems saving you time, stress and money!
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. The most common misconception is how effective standardized antivirus is. "Out of the box" and free antivirus programs are only as good as the latest update. Updates happen only when available and when you take the time to apply them. Use a "managed antivirus", meaning updated daily and automatically by qualified techs.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Do they offer any guarantees?
How much do they charge and is that charge by the job or by the hour?
Do they offer a preventive service as well as a repair service?
How long will it be before a tech is available?
Is there a charge if you just need information?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. What specific needs or problems do you want to resolve?
At I.T. Made Easy, we do not offer "one size fits all" solutions. We offer specific solutions designed to your needs and budget. Our goal is to not only to resolve your current issue but prevent future ones.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. 1. We offer UNLIMITED customer support. 2. We offer a "match or beat" price guarantee on similar service. 3. We offer FREE industry leading managed antivirus. 4. We offer IT solutions for residential as well business.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. That we solve problems and that we can provide customers with an excellent alternative in a field that has developed something of spotty reputation for poor customer service and shoddy work.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. That keeping your computers healthy does not have to be difficult or expensive. My grandmother was fond of saying "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." I believe that is just as valid today with computer health as it is with general health.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. We saw that the computer repair and support field was flooded with shoddy work, poor customer service and "hard sale" fear tactics to convince clients to to use a service they may or may not need. Every industry goes through an evolution where companies must offer a superior product or get left behind. This is that time for IT.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Constantly. IT specifically and computers in general are an extremely fast paced industry. New products and procedures are developed daily. Continuing education is a must for every tech on our team.
Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.
A. Our pricing structure could not be easier! Unlimited support and protection starts at $10.00/month for a single residential PC, $30.00/month for an entire household and $125.00/month for a small business. For larger businesses and networks, we customize a price plan specific to their needs.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Think less about fixes and more about solutions. People have less time today than ever before. Make their lives easier for a reasonable price and you will have a customer for life.
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. Our emphasis on the customer, not the computer. At IT Made Easy, our focus is providing better solutions faster and for less cost. Whether it is a single laptop or an entire network, we work to prevent problems before they happen and always have a team available to answer any and all concerns.
