ABOUT OUR COACHES: Allie: "I love food... but I didn't always. The more passionate about fitness I became, the more I realized that it mattered what I was putting into my body. For appearance, sure (who doesn’t love to see some abs?!); but also for how I could perform. And if I wanted to kick butt, I had to be giving my body the nutrients - and the fuel - it needed. Not only for tomorrow, or next week, or even next year; but for 40 years from now. I love hiking, kayaking, long walks with my dog, and lifting heavy weights - and I want to develop and maintain the habits now that give me the best shot of doing all these things for years to come." Christian: "In my wellness journey, I’ve tried it all – fad diets, aerobic exercise, yoga, Zumba, you name it. When I started CrossFit in 2015, I fell in love with the intensity and action, but I still felt like something was holding me back. It wasn’t until I started working with my own nutrition coach that I fully realized what goes into your body is vitally important for the performance that comes out. Now, you’ll find me smiling through my workouts because my body is in tune with itself, and I’ve never felt better. And I’m excited to help start you on the path of your own nutrition journey!" Lauren: "I’m a married mom of two that has gone through several phases of my own fitness journey and learned a lot about what to do - and what not to do. Growing up I was heavily involved in sports and played softball, basketball, and marched in our band. Then in college and throughout my twenties I became less active, paid no attention to nutrition, became a mom, and gained a lot of weight. In 2012 I decided I had enough and started to take back control of my life. Over the last 11 years I have lost over 100 pounds, run in several races, competed in bodybuilding competitions, and spent years gaining the knowledge to confidently help others take back control of their lives, too." Maggie: "Even though I’m now in Tennessee, I’m still a Texas girl at heart. I have my bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. I’ve been active my whole life; and when I started CrossFit in 2017, I was hooked. Nutrition plays a big part in maintaining strength and stamina for your health and fitness goals, and I can’t wait to help you get healthy and enjoy food at the same time!" Rachael: "I've always been active - I have a background in competitive gymnastics and have been competing in CrossFit for three years. I know firsthand what it's like to feel like you have to look a "certain" way; but I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be that hard. You can love your body, give it the fuel it needs, and perform well both in the gym and in life." *Ask about our military/first responder discount. **In addition to personal nutrition coaching, we also offer one-time nutrition plans and sleep audits. If I could mark all 5 above, I would. When I first decided to get my health back on track, I was not sure the correct approach. I had done several different 'diets' that did keep for a while but wasn't a lasting solution. Add to the fact that I was also going through an emotional rough patch I would end up in the same or worse place than I had been before losing the weight. Years ago, I attended an MMA gym, and I ate reasonably well, and I felt that I was in a very good place in my life health wise. Lean, strong, and lots of pep in my step. Then I married and gained a lot of weight from emotional eating. Fast forward to a year ago and I was not happy nor healthy. I knew I wanted to get back into shape and I wanted to do it right. The yo-yo stuff during my marriage was not healthy at all. I started to have health issues because of it. Any who. I signed up at a cross fit gym (crossfit DCL) and they had recommended, if interested, the nutrition coaching by fuelED. I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into, but I signed up. With nutrition coaching you never know how it will go. Everyone has different way of going about setting up plans, their "allowed" and "cut outs" etc. I've seen and heard some real doozies. I have to say I have been overall super happy with Allie and fuelED. She has been very supportive and has worked with me on my goals since day one. Even on the setbacks she has remained a constant supporter. She never made me feel like what I ate was "wrong" or made the comments of X food is bad. She has guided me through making smart choices and being okay with taking it easy on myself when things don't work out according to plan. This program has made me invest in my eating habits, the right way. Making sure I maintain proper energy and sleep hygiene. Am I a skinny mini, no, but I don't want to be. I want to be healthy. It means I will have some weight to me if I eat right and exercise. I have lost 13 inches across three measurements (Chest, Hips, Waist)!!! I feel great and I know it is because I had Allie checking in on me and gently guiding me through everything. She is easy to talk to, has great advice, and she does a lot (and shares) of research. One of the best decisions I've made.

I’ve learned so much from working with Allie and FuelEd, so much more than I was anticipating learning when I first signed up. I not only learned how/what to eat, I gained a much healthier body image mindset, I gave myself permission to stop over-exercising, I lost weight/inches, I lost my obsession with the number on the scale and gained a much healthier perspective of what it means to be healthy across the board. I gained so many healthy habits that I will continue to carry with me because I know just how much they positively impact my daily function and allow me to not only perform better in the gym, but feel my best throughout the day and avoid any “hanger” that tends to surface. Allie was so great to work with, she was encouraging and never judgmental, she was flexible when life changes happened and helped me stay on track and/or come up with realistic goals that I could still work towards. She was always willing to answer my questions and took time to explain/explore things with me as well as gave some great resources. I had such a great experience and highly recommend anyone who is wanting to learn more about nutrition to try FuelEd!

I have nothing but positive things to say about my health/nutrition coach Allie. She guided me through my weight loss journey. I honestly thought I would never lose weight again since I tried everything I could possible think of to even lose .5 lbs! I have struggled to lose weight for two years. I gave FuelEd a try and I am soooo glad I did!! I lost a total of 12 lbs by eating healthy. Logging my food, eating 2-3 servings of vegetable and 2 servings of fruits a day was a challenge for me in the beginning. But coach Allie was there to support me and encourage me to give it another try each day. I was given all the tools needed to continue on my weight loss journey. I couldn’t be happier for the weight I’ve lost and feel so motivated to get back to my desired weight! It’s such an awesome feeling when you start seeing your face slimming and fitting into your favorite jeans! Thank you Coach Allie for all the support you have given me and being there for me!! Evelyn

I recommend Allie to everyone regardless of how knowledgeable you are about nutrition. Before I started working with Allie, I would have classified myself as pretty informed when it comes to eating and I definitely had (mostly) good habits. Allie was still able to teach me SO much and I made more progress towards my goals than I had for quite some time. Most impressively, Allie was able to reshape my perspective about my nutrition goals, which is truly what I needed. I've always been hyper focused on the scale, which was still a focus while I worked with her, but I was able to appreciate much more the non-scale wins like how I felt, what my body was able to do, how my clothes fit, etc.Allie was also flexible and worked really hard to find plans that worked for me, as opposed to prescribing a super strict eating regime. She does a fantastic job of honing in on your goals and coming up with a plan that will help you achieve those goals, but is also realistic. Said another way, you won't be miserable the entire time so the the newly formed habits are much more sustainable.Another thing that I really appreciated about working with Allie was how supportive she was throughout the entire process. I never felt judged when I had an off-day. If you work with her, you know one of her mantras is "progress, not perfection".

I reached out to fuelED to improve my performance in the gym and for physical aesthetics. I saw improvement in both areas. I also developed a better relationship with food. I highly recommend fuelED to anyone with an athletic or health goal.
