Introduction: I have a unique style and knack for matching the best style of post-processing to the images at hand. Sometimes I'll go back and re-edit a set of photos 3 or 4 times before I get it just right. That dedication and attention to detail is what sets me apart. My favorite part of the photographic process is sitting down to do the first "soft edit" from a shoot. It's the first time you get to see the photos on a full size screen, and seeing my happy clients looking their best is what drives me to do this.

My husband and I hired Steve to photograph our engagement and wedding photos in 2011. He was excellent to work with on several fronts. First, I liked the way he did business. He was upfront about his services and rates, and quickly worked out a contract. He was easy to communicate with and made us feel like valued clients. Secondly, I liked his approach to photography. He let our fun and lighthearted personalities shine in the photographs. My guests also agreed that he was hardly noticeable but able to capture just the right moments. None of the photos felt forced, people looked relaxed. Third, the quality of the photos was excellent. The lighting and coloring was just right. We look good, happy and hip in those photos. I could not have asked for a better photographer for our wedding. We sat down for a meeting before the wedding to go over all of the details, make a schedule, and choose the style of photos that we wanted. I felt secure the day of the wedding knowing that Steve was capturing every moment. When we received the photographs I was overwhelmed with how fantastic they were. Steve's style and demeanor were exactly what we wanted in a wedding photographer. We were looking for someone that was low-key and authentic, and that's what we got. Most everyone else we interviewed was too intense and held too strongly to their own vision instead of listening to us. If you browse his website you'll see why we picked him; his photos are honest and not overproduced.

FAQs

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father is an amateur photographer. He taught me the basics of photography on his old Canon A-1 35mm camera. I have been addicted to photography ever since, and when I realized that the recording industry wasn't for me during my sophomore year of college, the obvious choice was photography.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I most commonly photograph weddings and do engagement photos. My other most common job is music photography- both live and artist/band promo.
