In a relationship and starting to see red flags? Worried someone is catfishing or cheating on you? Want a background check before going out with someone you met online? Want to locate or reunite with someone from your past?
I’m a licensed private investigator who can provide all this and much more at a very competitive price. I charge $75 an hour with a two-hour minimum, and background or locator reports are $150 each.
Before we proceed, I have a couple of TLDR (but please DO read) issues I need to get out of the way. Please bear with me - these issues will help both of us decide if we're a good fit.
*Please respect my work schedule. I work M-F from 8 am - 5 pm Central Time. I DO NOT work 24 hours/day. I say this not to be rigid, but because I have had customers who treat me as if I don't sleep, eat, take vacations, have a family, or have anything else going on. I've had calls at 11 pm, 12 am, 2 am, 5 am, all weekend long, and texts me at all hours - and either waking me up or excepting responses immediately on the weekend or overnight. I've even received negative reviews because I wasn't "responsive" when the person contacted me after business hours. Please do not call or text me after business hours - even if in your time zone, it's still within business hours - unless we have discussed it previously and have scheduled a time to talk. I'm happy to schedule times for customers in the Mountain and Pacific times zones that are after hours in my time zone. But please understand, if we don't have a scheduled call. I will not respond. Thank you - I know navigating time zones can be frustrating, and I do everything I can to accommodate schedules while still having a life of my own. I appreciate you!
Necessary Disclaimer: Since I've started offering investigative services on Thumbtack, I've had a number of...unique...requests. Based on these requests, here's a list of requests I've received in the past. I need to list these so I can have the lead fee refunded back to me by Thumbtack, because investigators on Thumbtack are charged between $20-25 (or more!) for each time we're selected by a potential customer. This list is not exhaustive and I'm sure I'll be adding to it over time. Most are meant to be humorous, but some are very serious issues I just can't help you with from a distance. They're all real.
I do NOT provide the following investigative services:
1. Investigate your experiences with demons, ghosts, or other supernatural entities, and I cannot contact your deceased relative or friend (call a medium or ghost hunter)
2. Cast out demons (call a priest)
3. Find your pet's littermates (call the breeder or rescue)
4. Provide contact information for celebrities (call a fan club - I could be sued into the next century for giving out that information or have criminal charges filed on me if you turn out to be a stalker - no matter how compelling your reason may be, and I've heard them all)
5. Locate people when you only have their first name or nickname and a city or state (call a psychic)
6. Work homicide cases, with the exception of attorneys I work with locally in Nashville, TN (call the police)
7. Serve papers (call a process server)
8. Do international investigations (call someone who does)
9. Work missing person or any other cases - except custody cases, where I can locate the other parent - involving children under the age of 18 (call someone local, you'll need someone on the ground)
10. Work missing person cases in which the person is missing and the police are involved, have been called, or should be involved (call the police)
11. Work cases that would require me to travel from Nashville, TN, to be helpful to you - I only work remotely, but I can help out with most cases from a distance. Before you click on my name, ask yourself, would this require someone in my city to help me? (if the answer is yes or maybe, call someone local)
12. Surveillance services (call someone local, you'll need someone who lives close to you)
13. Provide banking or health information (it would be illegal)
14. Tap a phone or help you illegal monitor someone remotely (again, illegal)
15. Help you find out if your phone has been tapped (find someone local)
16. Find out who posted anonymous comments on websites, social media, etc. or trace IP addresses.
Be kind. If you're not serious about hiring someone in the next week or are just checking prices - or worse, if you consider the whole thing a joke - please don't contact investigators. We're just trying to help people and make a decent living or extra money, something all of us could use more of!
I reserve the right to refuse to work with anyone when I am concerned about the motivations of the person who contacted me. For example, I've refused spouses who wanted to find out contact information for the other spouse when they're under a do not contact/restraining order. I will not help you violate a court order or potentially harm another person. I have a pretty good sense for these things, so please don't try to go around a court order by using my services. If I feel the information could lead to criminal actions, I also will refuse to help.
Final disclaimer: I will do everything in my power and use all my resources to help you out. Sometimes, investigations just go nowhere, and that's not my fault or yours. We may not have all the information necessary, the person may be really good at disappearing and remaining hidden, or you've hired me to find someone who doesn't exist (scams). In these cases, I've still done all the work even if you didn't find out new information. I've utilized my professional resources (TLOxp and Tracers, for example, two databases that are available only to PIs and law enforcement/legal) and my time to try to get you results. Please take this into consideration before moving forward. To help you decide, I will always tell you the risks involved as well as lay out an investigative path/plan with you that requires your consent before moving forward. If I think there is a low possibility that we'll be successful, I'll tell you. This is why I often insist on phone conversations - I want to answer questions and be sure we both understand expectations and how I will move forward.
Phew! If you're still with me, I provide the following services and can't wait to meet and help you!
Background checks and locator reports: In order to provide the best results, I will need at least two of the following pieces of information: Full name (middle name, if possible), date of birth, age, previous phone number, and/or former or current address (minimum city and state). I've located people before without this information, but please realize the results are dependent on the information you provide me. PLEASE NOTE: If you ask for contact information of a celebrity, athlete, musician, etc., I will not do the job. We're getting into lawsuit territory as well as potential accusations of enabling a stalker. Please do not contact me if that's your intent.
Criminal and Civil history and court documents: arrests, incarcerations, evictions, liens, judgments, bankruptcies, and foreclosures. I am not able to access any financial data outside of assets (homes, properties, cars, etc.). Any investigator that says otherwise is not legally obtaining this information.
Current address for judgments and custody hearings: Please provide the person's full name and date of birth. I should be able to find a current location if it has been at least 45 days since an eviction or relocation. Note: most licensed investigative databases update addresses once a month, so if you know the person has recently moved, you may want to wait 45-60 days for the best results.
Other locator services: Depending on the information you have available, I *may* be able to locate the person you're looking for using my licensed investigator databases and some creativity. For example, I've found high school and college friends and sweethearts; chance encounters depending on information available; long lost relatives; etc. If all you have is a first name, nickname, hair color, etc., I cannot help you. Please do not select me.
Dating scams: I can usually spot these from a mile away, and I'll do everything I can to help you figure out who the person is and/or determine if you're being scammed.
Investigative research: Family tree research, finding out information about relatives you found through a DNA test, records requests, etc.
License plate locator services: Find out locations where a vehicle's plates have been scanned. Requires either a VIN or license plate number and state.
If you have a request that sounds similar to the above, I can't wait to talk to you!
