FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Commercial Voice with an emphasis in Digital Musicianship from Belmont University. There we learned classical and contemporary music. I am a self taught guitarist, with some lessons along the way. I am piano proficient. Know how to compose and arrange music. I know how to produce a song in Logic Pro X.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have started with some guitar lessons as a kid teaching other kids. Then in college I truly loved giving feedback and helping my colleges in the business with their music. From there I decided to get on thumbtack, and one lesson at a time I’ve built up this business.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently I’ve found students who know very little about music. This has been foreign to me because previously I’ve found many that know the basics of music. It has been wonderful to pull myself back to the basics of counting, singing a major scale, and just intro into how the voice works. I don’t think of working on music or the voice as a “how long it will take”, that puts too much pressure on ourselves. It will take the time it needs so I sit an enjoy the journey.
