My pricing is as follows: - $5 per 100 words - First-time customers get their first 100 words proofread/edited for free.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was in college, I was the girl my friends and their friends came to when they needed help with papers. I was there for them from the outlining phase to the final revision. For a year, I worked for a college as a writing consultant, helping students learn to proofread and revise their own work, teaching them specifics grammar rules, and helping them properly cite their sources. Eventually, I started working full-time in another field and took on editing as a side job. I have proofread and content-edited numerous blogs, and am currently working with a self-published author on the revision of a short book.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of the projects I work on are blogs. I like them because they're typically shorter pieces and I can knock one out in a couple of hours. I feel productive and the author loves the quick results.
