Joe is a very talented violin teacher. He knows how to teach difficult concepts and thinks carefully about how a student learns best. He is also easy going which makes lessons stress free and enjoyable. As an adult coming back to the violin after many years, wanting to play for enjoyment (not needing another thing to stress about) his teaching style is a great fit. I’m sure he would be great for a more ambitious student as well.

My 5 year old son has excelled with the gifts of Teacher Joes engaging violin instruction, patience and kindness. I offer virtual, in-store and at-home lessons at different price points. Contact me to find out more!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free Zoom lesson, or a discounted in-person trial lesson to see if we are a good match, no commitment. We will discuss a lesson plan and teaching materials in follow up communications.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's and Master's in violin performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, am a certified O'Connor Method teacher and studied pedagogy with renowned Bay Area Suzuki teacher Cathy Lee.
