FAQs
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
After 8 years of officiating weddings, being able to officiate my very first LEGAL same-sex ceremony, just days after the Supreme Court Ruling. I truly felt the huge honor it was to be able to serve in that way.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Get on the phone or talk to the officiant in person, and just get a 'vibe.' There is someone out there who is the perfect match for everyone! :)
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
In order to do what I do, you truly need to be skilled at the art of spaceholding. An officiant should of course be: warm, friendly, full of love, well spoken, great at facilitation, and professional- but being able to hold and keep the energy of the moment in integrity for either a crowd, a small gathering, or even two people makes the experience that much better. Being able to 'read the room' and know what is appropriate and called for in every situation is also a major attribute for a spaceholder/facilitator. It's not as easy as it looks! :)
