We live in another state but still own a home in Old Hickory, which we rent out. The tenant called and said there was a bad water leak and it was coming from the shower area. I put out a request for a plumber. Casey answered the request the next morning. I spoke to him on the phone and explained what was going on. I told him I lived in another state and asked if I hired him, how could I pay him, as he did not accept credit cards. He informed me I could send him a money order and it would be fine. The pros: He went over to the house within the next couple hours to see what was going on with the water leak. He called me to let me know what had happened and what he needed to do to fix it. He texted me pictures of the old pipes that needed to be replaced. For the most part, he kept me updated by text, of the work he was doing. The total price was not bad. The cons: He does not accept credit cards, nor have a PayPal account for payment. He is the only one that does the work, which means if he needs parts, he had to leave the job and go to the store to buy them. A price for completing the job was agreed on, but one pipe needed more work, which he informed me of. We agreed (but then I had forgotten about the extra work). When he finished the job, he texted me to let me know the total, which was a couple hundred more than earlier, because of the extra work. When I had questioned him about the total, he immediately sent a text telling me he didn't think I realized how much work it was and that he could charge me a "plumber fee" of $120 times 7.5 hours. Again, as I mentioned earlier, I had forgotten about the extra work that needed done. That text was very unprofessional on his part. All I did was ask him how it went from one price to another. The next morning, I had to make a trip to Walmart to make a payment to him, as he had changed his mind on the money order being sent to him. I have asked Casey to please send me an invoice marked PAID several times after I paid him. He texted me Thursday night and told me he would email it to me that night. I still have yet to receive it, even though I have reminded him a couple times. Personally, I probably will not hire him again. Mostly for the fact of the threatening text about the fee and for the fact that I have to keep asking for the invoice. Even though he sent pictures of the bad pipes, he never sent any pictures of the work he had done, or its completion.

Wow! Trustworthy and professional Casey goes the extra mile. We did not hire him for our first job posted here but then did for a second based on his apparent knowledge and we were so impressed! Casey gives fair estimates and follows through, texts photos of his progress, provides recommendations of what to do or not do but is never pushy. He has done multiple projects in our new house from plumbing to very detailed and beautiful backsplash work. Highly recommend and have referred friends. Thank you Casey!!
