Mr. Mccleery did fence work, built gates, and some electrical work. The job was in Brownwood. The jobs were done in a timely manner. Hired him for fence work but the more we talked it was clear that he could do other types of jobs. Very polite young man, cleaned up after himself.he was on time and took very few breaks. His work was done to my expectations. Was impressed with his work, will use him again. He also took the time to halter a new colt that I was unable to do myself.

Hmmmm, where do I begin.......since I just out that he is no longer with a very good friend of mine, I am going to lay it all out and how we feel about the job he did for us. Warning, I have a lot to say. What did Quintin Mccleery help us with? He removed our old fence to install a new privacy fence. Negative thing was that he left all of the old broken up concert from the old fence for us to clean in which we paid a dear friend of mine and his son $60 to remove the concert that was making our property look trashy plus all the other trash that was piled in the middle of the backyard that I had to clean up. Where was the job? In Abilene where he works and he charged us $25 a day to come to work. Some days he would only show up for 1 1/2 hours and we $25...? How long did it take? Too long. He said that he could get it done in 4 days.......it took almost a month and half. What impressed you about the service? We were not impressed at all. The only thing good was that we got a fence but as for the service, I think if he would have put more heart into it, things would be different. Did Quintin Mccleery go above and beyond? The only thing that he went above on was the cost. He said about $3 grand.........by the end it cost us $4 grand. At no time did he go beyond. Was Quintin Mccleery on time? Where do I begin.......he would show up whenever he wanted but never when he said he would. If he said that he would be here bright and early at 6am, he would not show up until 10 am or later then he would leave after sometimes about 1 1/2 or so then come back for another 1 1/2 or so then leave sometimes at 6 pm maybe 8pm......just whenever. How was the quality of the work? Now we get to the good part.......the gates that he built are so unsturdy that we are going to have to add more support especially for the gate that we use the most. The bottom of that gate we have to block from the outside because our dogs can push in the corner and almost get out. He dug up a bunch of dirt from the road that he said he was going to use to fill in all the gaps between the pickets and the ground (since he did not build it right), in which I had to do it, did not work because any of those areas that she sees light she digs under and gets out. She has been out 8 times now. The gate on the other side (and if he sees this the church side) is so unleveled that it can be opened. Oh and the gate we use the most had to have the latch fixed and the handles because they broke. The concert that he poured for the posts, he did not level before they dried so then he had to cut our pickets to fit over the concert.....not impressed and very disgraceful. What would have improved our experience? If he actually knew what he was doing. What went wrong? He didn't know how to do the job correctly.....his heart was not in the job doing for us and he would leave this job for days to go and do other jobs in which during the times that he had to wait for something to set in order to continue working on our fence, he could have been removing the trash at that time. How could Quintin Mccleery do better in the furture? Try learning how to install the fence properly for starters. Don't steal the supplies that the customer pays for. For example......it took him 3 boxes of screws to make it half way around the fence so he had my husband buy 5 more boxes but only uses 3 boxes......so where did the other 2 boxes. The concert......he messed up and needed more so he had me go buy 5 more bags which if I would have thought about it....that should have come out of his pocket for his mistake but not our pocket. Now for this part.....I was wanting a fence up front that would have divided our property from the church parking lot that is next to our house but during the measuring of the steel posts, he cut them too long which ruined our plans for the fence in the front so there was extra posts in which we paid for and he took without permission. So bottom line he steal from us. He would only do something that would be of a money benefit for him. See, removing all the trash was not money for him. My husband let him take the parts from the old fence to sell and keep that money, not take the new fence supplies and keep that money. I am not judging, I am simply just stating our experience and how unhappy we are with the job that he left behind. I will not ever recommend him to anyone but if anyone reads and wants to give him a chance.....who knows maybe he will do a better job than ours just like the other post on here who was very happy with his job. Sorry Quintin.......you should not have left our job half ass!! But please don't come back thinking you are going to fix things because when we ever get back to affording it we will have someone else come in later in future to fix, however, we are going to fix what we can now.
Once again, sorry but this is how we feel. Oh and FYI... I have to give a rating but if there was a -100 then that would be ours but it has to have a one star that I don't agree with.
