- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we have new customers begin with us at Hogany Tops Farm, I first like to meet with them and get to know them a bit. I find it very helpful to discuss their goals and aspirations and give them an idea about accomplishing them. I like to discuss any fears or uneasiness they might have and reassure them that fear arises from lack of knowledge, and with the right instruction, those fears will diminish. I prefer to start the mounted lessons in a one on one (private) lesson to be able to devote my entire attention to the beginnner/first time client to be able to evaluate them well and get them off to a good start. If the client is already a rider and just coming into our program this lesson gives them the opportunity to get to know me and experience our program!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lifelong experience since early childhood riding, training, showing ponies and horses in the hunter jumper discipline under the instruction of some of the top horsemen in the US, steeplechase jockey licensed by the National Steeplchase Association, trained horses and riders to successfully compete in top sanctioned horse shows in the US.
