Introduction

Hi! I have been playing guitar for the last 24 years and for the last 11 years it has been my sole profession. I am a singer, songwriter, performer, and most importantly a teacher. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to do what I love for a living and getting a chance to help fellow guitar players achieve their own personal goals in their playing. Originally I was skepitcal of the online teaching format, but now I have realized the experience is so much better! I have all of my equipment, piano, and visual aids are so easy with screen sharing. I'm an older hobbyist who has picked up and quit on the guitar more times with more teachers than I can count. Stevie is the first teacher that got thru to me in a way that resonated. He's got all the chops and theory if that's what you need, but what I really appreciate is his focus on feel. I've always gotten discouraged by how clumsy my left hand is and he's helped me to understand that, while important, the left hand will catch up. If you can get the rhythm/feel with your right hand, you've got something to build off of. His demeanor is laid back and chill, his lessons are informative and give you plenty to build on and the homework is a good mix of fun and work. I can't recommend him enough.

I’ve been taking lessons with Steve for several months. When I started I knew some things about guitar from YouTube videos and reading. My goal was to fill in the questions I have had for so long. Stevie is able to understand and answer everything I’ve thrown at him, and provide me even easier ways of looking at things. I’m way more comfortable playing guitar than I have ever been.

Stevie is a terrific guitar teacher who has a unique ability to zoom in and simplify your journey. He has an easy-going style, is super knowledgeable and accessible even when you aren't taking a lesson. I was a bit skeptical about doing online lessons. Stevie has made me a believer. Stevie is a super great teacher! He's very knowledgeable on all topics, has a ton of experience, and is an all round nice guy. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My continuing education is not only ongoing but will continue for the rest of my life. I am always reading books, watching videos and working out theory on different instruments. This is truly my favorite part about music is that there will always be something to work on. Also I love the fact that there is rarely regression in musical ability. As long as you keep playing and learning you will always get better and never go backwards.
