Matt did an outstanding job on a complete kitchen remodel we worked through in Colorado. This was far more than a simple cabinet replacement—the kitchen was essentially stripped down and rebuilt from the ground up.
The old cabinets, countertops, sink, appliances, flooring, lighting, and plumbing were all removed. The floor was rebuilt and leveled, the walls were repaired and rebuilt where needed, and proper mounting and reinforcement were added for the new upper cabinets and countertops.
The lower cabinets were installed, carefully leveled, shimmed, and aligned so everything was perfectly prepared for the new countertops. Once the countertops were installed, the upper cabinets, sink, plumbing, and appliances were put in and finished out.
The kitchen also received new under-cabinet LED lighting, new overhead lighting fixtures, updated switches and GFCI outlets, new switch and outlet plates, new trim, and a complete repaint. The original popcorn ceiling was removed and replaced with an orange-peel texture before being repainted as well.
What impressed me most was the amount of attention paid to the parts of the remodel that most people never see. Floors were leveled properly, cabinets were carefully aligned, walls were prepared correctly, and the electrical, plumbing, trim, lighting, and finish work were all handled as part of one complete project.
By the time it was finished, it felt like an entirely different kitchen. Matt is extremely capable, resourceful, and comfortable handling the many different trades that come together during a major remodel. I would absolutely recommend him for a kitchen renovation or other large residential remodeling project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll talk about the scope of your project, take measurements, discuss materials options, and then I'll provide a thorough quote including everything we've discussed. After you approve/edit the quote, I'll find the best time to do the job that works with your schedule. Lastly, when all work has been completed we'll walk every part of the job and get customer approval that everything has been completed as agreed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a 5th generation woodworker. I began working in my family's shop at age 8 on smaller projects and moved to building cabinets and furniture for my own customers by age 17. Since then I've continued to from books, online resources, and other master craftsman.
