FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
General Contracting: Our company operates on a Cost Plus basis, and your budgets will reflect that. Costs will be transparent and we apply a standard contractors fee to all costs. We bill for any pre-construction services including on-site visits, estimating, and design development consultations. This allows to focus on the clients that are ready to build. Typically, at the end of pre-construction services we will provide a working budget and matching scope of work for you to review and accept prior to construction. Once a budget is accepted, we will move into a construction agreement to begin building. If you’re not sure what you need done, please feel free to visit our website we’d be happy to discuss options for you and your project/budget. —————- For handyman/honey-do type services, we bill $200 per trip, plus $75/hour/man once onsite billed in 1/2 hour increments. Materials requiring purchase and transport are billed at cost plus 20%. ————— We price quality building practices and enough time to build things right. We build things to last. A lot of times this means we won’t be the cheapest. Our pricing includes insurance, bonds where required, appropriate supervision, and proper inspection costs. We reduce change orders by being thorough on our proposals so you’ll know exactly what you’re money is buying upfront.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we’ll start with a phone call to determine your project and timeline. This would take roughly 10 minutes. If it’s a good fit for both of us, next we’ll schedule a visit to capture more information about what your vision is. In the next phase, we’ll provide a proposal along with a scope of work that the proposal covers. If accepted, we’ll work with your schedule to start the work and will provide you with constant updates at every phase of your project. At the end, we do a walk through to ensure you’re satisfied with the work and will sign off on completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
