- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education is critical in order to provide best possible services. I am constantly reading, and I attend trainings several times a year.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Take your time. Ask questions. Listen to the answers. Talk to several providers. Ask for a consultation. Do not hire anyone who won't spend 10-20 minutes on the phone with you answering your questions.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
One, therapy works. Two, it works within the context of the connection between the therapist and the client. Change comes through the quality of the relationship, not tricks and strategies.
