Introduction: The decision to seek professional counseling is very personal and is different for each person. In general, a common denominator is that most people consider pursuing counseling because they seek change -- perhaps relief from symptoms of depression or anxiety, increased intimacy and closeness with a spouse or partner, or an increased ability to help a child or adolescent with struggles he or she is facing at school.
Throughout my 15-year career as a professional counselor, clinical supervisor, and clinical trainer, it has been my pleasure and honor to partner with people seeking to make changes that will increase their enjoyment of life.
My approach to counseling is to help my clients clarify their goals, to identify their existing strengths that will assist them in the process, and to build on what they already know and what is already working. I utilize evidence-based practices to help clients maximize their progress and achieve their desired result whenever possible. I work with clients of all ages -- with individuals, couples, and families.
