- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Everything is custom. I require a deposit to hold a date for a job. Customized menu dictates price but we can provide for all budgets! $8-15 Boxed Lunches, Lunch Buffets to feed a crowd, Appetizers trays & platters...to Gourmet Chef's 5 & 7 course meals for as little as $40 or as much as $125 per/person dependent on menu.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely! Always experimenting and visiting with other chef's kitchens... and reading cookbooks for my leisure. Staying up on the latest & greatest is vital for growth. I also teach culinary classes on occasion.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had no choice, at age 17 already graduated, I became a manager/buyer for Mr. Dunderbak's Bavarian Pantry. There I became "hooked" heading up not only the "deli" but the catering dept. doing beautiful party platters & creating recipes for the cafeteria style dining. I had over 1300 vendors, buying chocolate covered ants to fried grasshoppers, beers, wines, cheeses, spices... you name it! (before Sysco!)
