I am committed to repairing your furniture to the highest standard possible within your budget. I am able to perform mechanical repairs, touch ups, replacement of missing wood, and veneer. I mix my own stains and can generally match colors very well. I specialize in repairing recliners and broken or damaged wooden furniture including moving or shipping damage. I also do repair of high gloss piano finishes. I also do refinishing of wooden furniture and antique restoration. I do NOT do upholstery work. I can do most repair work on site. Lou came, saw, took the chairs. He did an excellent job and returned them in the timeframe promised. He is also repairing the table. A wonderful gentleman who readily shares info on how to best care for wood furniture. We will use Lou for all our other woodwork jobs.

I worked with Lou to restore two pieces of beloved vintage furniture, a mid-century wood desk and a drafting table from the 60s. Lou was amazing. He not only repaired them both to the best possible condition, but also greatly enhanced both pieces to be better than they ever were while keeping their original integrity and charm. He had an eye for detail and color and is extremely knowledgeable about his craft. He made some great recommendations that turned out beautifully. There was also some repair work in both pieces that called for replacement of certain parts, and he sourced some exceptionally beautiful wood material for this purpose and got the colors and finishes to match exactly. Very very happy with the results for both pieces and would love to hire him again if the need arises.
