I recently had issues with my garage door not closing due to faulty springs. KMR Garage Doors resolved the problem by replacing one torsion spring for $450, which includes a 5-year warranty covering both labor and parts. It was a quick and great service.

KMR installed three garage door openers in our stable. One for the hay room and two for the horse trailer and equipment room. The job was completed to our satisfaction, including an adjustment to insure the horse trailer would clear the open door. The initial estimate and quote were adhered to with a few adjustments. Initially the job was said to take 2 hours, however the company spent 10 hours with no extra charge. KMR did not realize there were no electric plugs where the openers were installed and we incurred an additional $433 to have an electrician complete the work. This should have been noted by KMR in their initial evaluation and bid. When we went to register the three Liftmaster garage door openers with Liftmaster, we were advised the openers would not be covered under a Liftmaster warranty as KMR are not authorized Liftmaster dealers. We notified KMR of this fact and received the following relply "Hey Martin warranty is from our company. It has nothing to do with the units. Just keep the invoice with the warranty and if anything happens call us." Our concern is, in similar circumstances the installer is no longer in business vs a long established company like Liftmaster. We believe KMR and Thumbtack should have notified us of KMR not being licensed by Liftmaster. We register everything we buy of value. This was a $2,915.00 job. As mentioned, we are satisfied with the overall installation, however still are very concerned regarding on-going service. We assumed wrongly that KMR were a dealer for the products they installed.
