In about the same span of time with Chris, I've improved and learned substantially more than I had previously, but most importantly, I've had a good time doing it. Chris is a great teacher and really good natured guy, and he'll encourage you even while you're completely mangling a song. He tailors your lessons based on your preferences and what you want to get out of playing, which makes me that much more motivated to practice. When I decided I wanted to start over and learn classical guitar from a professional teacher I went hunting for a great teacher. Before starting lessons with Peter I met with a couple other guitar teachers and gauged them against others I have known. I chose Peter because I found him to be everything I was looking for. Peter is smart. He is both a highly skilled player and a talented teacher. He is dedicated to teaching guitar vs teachers who don’t primarily play guitar or teachers who don’t have any training in guitar pedagogy. Working with Gaurav is a ton of fun and he breaks things down so that your playing becomes easier and engaging, not tedious. This is key for anyone just starting out or for a seasoned amateur like myself. I can’t speak for pros but Gaurav certainly is one. If you want to shred on a metal solo or play Nashville-style, Gaurav can show you how. Best teacher I’ve ever had, hands down!!"See more
