Jim helped me pick out a guitar, and his lesson plan is easy to follow. Jim is very knowledgeable, and has been able to answer all my questions.

Awesome guy. Every guitar lesson I have is not only a learning experience, but also it's fun just hanging out and talking to Jim. He knows what he's doing, knows how to teach, and loves to joke around. Jim is the man.

I have taken numerous private lessons from Jim and have benefited much from the experience. I also took several of his group classes and found them quite helpful for beginners. They were also quite informative, such as with regard to music theory for guitar.

I first took a guitar class with Jim and then began private lessons a number of years ago. His teaching style is relaxed, but he is quick to see opportunities to introduce practical instruction. He is able to take a student where he or she is and go forward. In addition, he is willing to create arrangements that suit his students' interests and skill level. I can recommend him without reservation.

Jim listens to his students' goals and tries to accommodate them. He offers constructive guidance in the student's playing. He is sincerely interested in improving the student's playing technique and helping them to meet their musical goals. Jim has a vast knowledge of music and the guitar, which he enjoys sharing with his students. He is easygoing and has a nice sense of humor.
