I hired this contractor to fix drywall that was damaged due to a leak, but unfortunately, the repair job was not up to par. It's clear that there was a patch job done, as there's a noticeable gap (not properly filled in) between the old drywall and the new one around the edges. When I asked him if he was going to texture it to match the rest of the ceiling and walls, he insisted that it wasn't necessary and that the difference in texture was just due to the paint. However, it's now clear that the texture of the repaired area is completely different from the rest of the ceiling, making the patch job even more obvious.
I've had drywall replaced by other contractors in the past and their work was so seamless that you couldn't even tell that a repair had been done. So, it's disappointing that the quality of this repair job falls short of what I expected.
