- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price for the package of 4 one hour lesson is $200. It does not include the textbook. There's a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours before a lesson, there's no refund. Free writing practice sheets are available on my site.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we work on the writing the Japanese alphabet, hiragana and katakana. Then, we work on very simple sentences structures by both speaking and writing. Before you know it you'll be composing your own sentences on your first day. I'll make it easy!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done years of translation work for anime, medical documents, localizations, etc. Also, I'm a performing/recording musician and a band leader. Teaching a language is very similar to teaching musicians new songs and how to perform on stage. I record the students' speech and play it back for them so they can hear themselves objectively. I also make them repeat the speech and writing practice many, many times in order to create smooth flow and confidence in speaking.
