FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my formal training and education consists of horticulture and pruning, however, the majority of what I’ve learned has been hands-on in the field.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My grandfather introduced me to landscaping and home repair work when I was in high school. My father initially taught me about irrigation, before I became an irrigation technician. My stepfather ran a plumbing business and I assisted him for some time. Almost 10 years ago I worked as a gardener for a start-up tech/lawn care company in the Bay Area for a couple years. I went on to work directly with the CFO, leading crews for residential clean ups, before starting my own lawn care company a couple years later.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I have been helping with a small remodel project the past month that consists of mostly plumbing, irrigation, light fixture/fan replacements, a small deck build, and some other miscellaneous home repair tasks. I really enjoy the variety of tasks.
