Introduction
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Associate with a passion for helping couples and families thrive. I provide affordable counseling to maximize my reach in the community because everyone deserves quality services. I practice using various Family Systems Theories which I believe better serve my clients. My education and training help me understand complex challenges from a collaborative perspective, ensuring all clients feel heard and understood in therapy. Some of the concerns I work with are: premarital counseling, couples therapy, open/non-monogamous/polyamorous relationships, intimacy and sex, families with teens, parenting skills, co-parenting, blended families, and couples facing a potential separation or divorce.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. I previously worked as a Research Assistant for Austin Marriage Project, a study that examines how couples grow and change over the first few years of marriage and what factors contribute to strong, healthy marriages. This experience helped inform my passion for helping others flourish in their lives and their relationships. I am currently under supervision at Austin Family Institute, a premier training and education facility for Marriage and Family Therapists. My work with AFI includes weekly seminars to continue my education, opportunities to work with other therapists (including the directors) on co-therapy cases, and more. I am currently supervised by Liz Gentry, M.A., LPC-S, LMFT-S.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Mental health care can be very difficult to find - especially affordable care. If you do not have insurance, or do not want to be limited to the type of care your insurance will cover, my affordable services can be beneficial for you. It's also important to connect with your therapist which is why I am happy to provide a free 15-minute phone consultation.
