FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do both by the hour pricing typically $80 to $100 an hour for 2 movers. We also do flat rate pricing by the size of the home(a great option because it allows us to really give you the best service possible for a pre determined price with nothing extra added to the final cost no matter how long it takes us). Flat Rate pricing includes transportation of belongings please be in Austin area only. For out of town moves please contact us for an estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we will walk through with the customer to see what is being moved. During that time I normally try to get an understanding of your expectations and how you foresee the move going that day. Then your movers will come up with a plan consisting of what furniture will be loaded first, how the truck will be packed, who is moving furniture out or wrapping furniture,l and who's packing the truck Then we start by wrapping furniture in blankets and stretch wrap, disassembling anything that needs to be, and moving the items that require 2 people. Some items are placed in the truck, others placed neatly in the garage or at the back of the truck. After some time one of us will start loading and packing the truck. The other(s) continue to move belongings out of the home. We try to pack things tight and neatly. We take care to watch for your fragile items, pack them accordingly, and communicate with you if we have questions about a box or a piece of furniture. If needed items are strapped inside the truck to keep them secure in transit. At your new home everything is unloaded carefully, boxes and furniture are placed exactly where you want them either in a specific area or in specific rooms. Labeling boxes is a big help to us when unloading. Blankets and plastic are removed, furniture is gently pushed back against walls and we will assemble any furniture that was taken apart. Plastic and any other packing material you don't want is taken with us and thrown away or reused if possible. Lastly we make sure you're satisfied with your move, if there is anything else we can help with, or if any boxes or furniture need to be moved( it doesn't bother us if you changed your mind on the wall you want your dresser on. We'll gladly move it around until you find the right spot!)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Customer Service, it's what I love most about moving... that and the hard work. Almost every job I've ever had was primarily customer service. I'm passionate about exceeding customers expectations, doing whatever is necessary no matter the time or cost to make sure each customer is happy and pleased with their move. I lose sleep over it lol.
