Introduction: Hello! My name is Emma Ruth Castner.
I am the owner operator of Castner Coatings Wallpapering and Custom Fine Finishes.
The thing that makes me and my company stand out is experience and dedication to high quality work in every home or business - no matter the budget! I've done work for the rich and famous and the guy and gal next door.
As of June 18th, 2016, I have 30 years of experience in the art of Wallpaper installation. I have worked for clients in NYC, NJ, Boston, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Southern California, and Central Texas. I began my own business in 2003, and am now proud to call Austin TX my home.
I've worked with virtually every type of material, from basic wallpapers to fabrics, silk, grass, foil and vinyl. I also do commercial wall coverings.
Along with wallpapering comes my 30 years experience in painting and wall finishing. I specialize in interior house painting and fine finishes, such as cabinets and furniture. I have extensive experience with the methods of high quality glass-like spray finishes using oils, lacquers, stains, clear coats and water-base, as well as eco-friendly products.
Over my many years of working hands-on with clients and interior designers, I've acquired an ability to assist you with color choices, should you desire such input.
Other home-improvement skills include drywall repair, tape and float, smooth-coating and texturing, popcorn ceiling removal and wallpaper removal.

UPDATE: Emma is awesome!! She did a beautiful job for my clients and I'm thrilled to have her as my go-to wallpaper and paint person from here on out.
ORIGINAL: Emma is easy to contact, responsive, and has very reasonable prices. We haven't gotten the wallpaper installed yet, so I'll update the review when the project is complete. I'll certainly be using Emma again!

Emma was great! She picked up our item when she said she would, charged the quoted price (no last minute extra charges), and did excellent work. She has a great eye for what she does, and even ended up choosing a colour for us, which we are very happy with. Her communication was also good, and the job was completed within the timeframe she originally told us. We will definitely be using her again the next time we need furniture painted, and will be recommending her to everyone we know.

The first time I met Emma I felt, somehow, she was the right person to hire for our Wallpaper jobs. Long story short, I was correct! Emma completed our projects today and we can't stop staring at the utmost perfection in her work! Further, unlike practically every other contractor we've experienced during our remodel, Emma was the first who actually cleaned everything up behind her when she finished! Full service professionalism with a side of respect! I/we will refer Emma and Castner Coatings to everyone we can! Emma was fantastic! She took the time to come to our home and give us a free quote. She stuck to her quote and her timeline she provided us. She was very dog friendly- due to the weather we couldn't leave our dog outside and Emma was so helpful! She was able to use our wallpaper without any waste to finish our project.
