Few of months ago, I started personal training with Ryan. Unlike many other PTs I worked with, working with Ryan gave great results without feeling the burden of going to the gym or the mental pressure to reach my goals. Somehow, Ryan did the trick and walked me through a plan that ACTUALLY gave results without a day of me doubting if I wanna go on with this gym non sense hahah (thats how I used to look at gym) Ryan helped me be aware of my diet habits, how to exercise right and how working out should not be a burden but an investment in my physical and mental health. I have tried multiple gyms including Cross Fit, kickboxing, general HIT training classes etc. With Sway you get everything, a truly unique gym. I have worked with dozens of trainers and by far I have advanced the most with Ryan Thompson. Not only is he educated in the movements he’s coaching but he is super motivational. He pushes you when you need to be pushed and quickly modifies if he sees a movement to difficult to avoid injury. He educates about importance of nutrition. He individualizes for each person, understands their strengths and weaknesses and programs accordingly. Ryan is a truly wonderfully unique individual. He’s nice, talented, passionate about fitness and changing peoples lives for the better. Before SWAY. I had the pleasure of working with Ryan through personal training and a kick boxing studio. In short: Amazing! I have working with Ryan for almost 2-3 months. After trying too many kickboxing trainer in Austin, I can vouch he is one of the best trainers in Austin. He is pretty flexible with timings and very attentive to my needs. My back issues have always bothered me while kickboxing but he helped me strengthen my core and improve my techniques and performance. My recommendation: Look no further.
