Annabeth Music

I teach all levels and styles of voice. I have a Master's degree in Vocal Performance, trained in Operatic technique. I've always loved performing various genres and folded my knowledge of technique throughout all the styles. My favorite genres to sing and teach are Folk/Indie, Classical, Gospel, Musical Theater, Pop/R&B. The vocal chords are the last muscles in the body to finish growing, so it would be unethical for me to take on vocal technique students under the age of about 14. I teach beginner and intermediate piano students. I've been playing piano for 28 years, from Classical to Pop, and love teaching others how to play. Many of my Voice and/or Piano students like to dabble in other instruments, so when there's curiosity I introduce students to Guitar, Ukulele, or Drums. When I teach I promise to bring my authenticity to the table, and I invite my students to bring theirs. When I say "How are you?" they're welcome to give me the real answer. Our bodies are the instruments of music, and we can only truly express what's really going on inside us at that moment.
