My specialities focus more on the fundamentals, mental game, and most of all, making the game fun for the students. I offer continual encouragement, reward them with smiley face stickers, and give out homework. I take time to understand how each student learns and continually adapt my style until the concept I'm teaching resonates with the student. As important as it to learn, if my students don't view tennis as a fun activity, then the will to improve diminishes and it doesn't make tennis out to be an enjoyable activity anymore. I highly emphasize the importance of practice. Without practice, the students will have little to no progress from lesson to lesson. I love seeing my students progress and carry on that progression to the next lesson. I understand that different people learn different ways. Therefore, I never give up trying to find a solution that helps my students reach the next level. The students then learn and can physically and mentally see their actual results. My teaching style varies from student to student. Therefore, I have no set structure to my lessons. I gauge how the student is feeling, what the student needs, and how well the student is progressing from lesson to lesson. With the constant change in the game, I believe in the flexibility and adaptability of the instructors to their student needs. I, generally, work on one aspect of the game with the student, and once that aspect is understood, we move on to another aspect while reviewing the previous aspect and so forth. I have a passion to help others elevate their game by improving their mechanics, conditioning and building mental fortitude.
